Our Beginnings
Founded in the fall of 2004, Jayden and Renee began their journey at local San Diego farmer’s markets, initially selling lucky bamboo arrangements. Despite frequent rainy Sundays, their persistence paid off as their small booth gained popularity among market-goers.
The Launch of Bonsai USA
Responding to customer demand, Jayden and Renee launched Bonsai USA in late 2004. Jayden’s technical expertise enabled them to set up an online store quickly, and they received their first order within hours. Learning from early challenges, they developed custom packaging solutions that now ensure safe delivery of their products.
Establishing Bonsai USA
Starting operations from their garage, Jayden and Renee moved to their first warehouse in 2006 and expanded their product range over the following years. By 2008, they relocated to a larger warehouse, and in 2012, they acquired a nursery property to meet growing demand. Today, Bonsai USA is renowned for its bonsai trees, lucky bamboo, money trees, orchids, and Zen garden items.
New Garden Center
In July 2023, Jayden and Renee completed their new garden center, integrating their online operations with the nursery. This center offers visitors a firsthand look at bonsai trees in various stages of development and provides an engaging shopping experience.
Continual Learning and Community Engagement
Jayden is actively involved in the bonsai community, serving on the board of the Golden State Bonsai Federation and contributing to bonsai publications. In 2021, he authored ‘Bonsai Pocket Guide: A Beginner’s Journey,’ further cementing Bonsai USA’s commitment to bonsai education.
Recognition and Outreach
Bonsai USA products have been featured in notable publications and media outlets, and they have served numerous Fortune 500 companies and events. They continue to prioritize personalized customer service and invite everyone to explore their offerings and reach out with any questions or feedback.
