Introducing the Fairy Ring Coastal Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), an extraordinary bonsai specimen collected by Bob Shimon from the northern coast of California. This tree, approximately 85 years old and in training for five years, was initially styled by the renowned bonsai artist Ryan Neil. Housed in a beautiful Tom Benda container, this miniaturized form of the highly prized Coastal Redwood is a rare and exceptional find.

The Fairy Ring Redwood is well-known, having been admired by students and clients alike. This tree captures the unique essence of the species, featuring the visually striking remnants of its fire-scarred central trunk. From this distinctive fire-born aesthetic, new exterior trunks have sprouted, adding to the tree’s charm and endearing character. This specimen is a testament to the grandeur and resilience of the Coastal Redwood, masterfully rendered in miniature form.
